What skills should go in Washington State's Profile of a Graduate? How do Washington students show they are prepared with the skills needed to thrive in life after high school? The Legislature has instructed the Mastery-based Learning Work Group to explore what skills would be highlighted in Washington State's vision for high school graduates. Your feedback could inform how the Board aligns graduation requirements moving forward.

Special Meeting Recap: Emergency Waiver Program

The State Board of Education (SBE) held a special meeting on Thursday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m. to discuss draft emergency rules for the Emergency Waiver Program (waiver of certain graduation requirements, for the Class of 2021).

Apply for the School Facilities Citizen Advisory Panel (SFCAP)

The State Board of Education is accepting applications for one open citizen position on the School Facilities Citizen Advisory Panel.

Purpose

The School Facilities Citizens Advisory Panel (CAP) was formed in July 2006. The purpose of this committee is to maintain citizen oversight on issues pertaining to school facilities and funding for school construction and to advise and make recommendations to the OSPI regarding:
